LED
obstruction lights and LED hazard beacons
Our lights are mainly characterised by their low power consumption,
high service life and their low maintenance expenditure as well
by their high degree of protection. Thus, the service life of
the luminious agents lies over 100.000 operating hours. In comparison
with it, the average service life of the conventional fires comes
below 10.000 operating hours. Our LED obstruction lights and
LED hazard beacons can be delivered as single obstruction lights
and two-stage lights.
Application
The LED obstruction lights and hazard beacons are all-round-radiating
lights and can be manufactured as fixed lights or blinker lights.
They serve the marking of aeronautical obstructions by night
and can be used at airports and landing fields.
Construction
For the fulfilment of the luminious requirements, bel jars
resistant to thermal fluctuation with integrated optics or
light-emitting diodes equipped with optics are used. The housings
of the lights consists of high-quality UV-resistant plastic
material or salt-water resistant aluminium alloys. As absolutely
corrosion-proof materials, they consequently possesses the
best characteristics for use outdoors.
The used plastic components are dyed throughout , and due to
this colouring, the also stand the greatest mechanical stress.
Aluminium parts are covered with multiple coats of lacquer
and are thus highly weather-resistant. They have already been
extremly well proven in industrial facilities. The construction
of the lights make the use of the energy-saving, highly longlived
LED.
The lights are equipped with the required number of LEDs needed
to meet lighting-engineering demands. The LED are operated
with only approx. 50% nominal strengh of current to guarantee
that the prescribed intensity of light is maintained for a
duration of 100.000 working hours. In order to be in accordance
with the high quality standard of the light, all small parts
(screws, washers) used at the light are made of stainless special
steel. Each delivered light is additionally tested by our lights
laboratory.
Installation/Assembley
and Mountings
For the use at airports, the lights can be erected with the
usual assembly elements, for example bottom flange, mast flange,
pipe bend, glass-fibre or reinforced plastics.
Transmitting relays and change-over relays: In case of a
light or stage failure, a failure message is conveyed via
a potential-free contact and a change-over to the next stage
is carried out with double lights.
